People Development Partner
Elgiganten is Sweden's leading retailer of consumer electronics, appliances, and kitchens. We currently employ nearly 3,400 people and have a total of 170 Phonehouse stores and warehouses across the country. As an employee at Elgiganten, you are part of something much larger, and the business consists of several important functions such as warehouses, stores, e-commerce, Nordic central warehouse, and customer service. Join us and be part of our success!
We are now looking for a People Development Partner who wants to help develop our employees and leaders with a particular focus on sales, customer interaction, and product knowledge. This is a role for you who thinks outside the box, enjoys being close to the business, and wants to create learning that works in everyday life.
About the role
As a People Development Partner, you work closely with the business and are an important partner to leaders, HR, and other functions in the organization. Your mission is to understand how the business operates in practice, identify development needs, and translate them into learning initiatives that strengthen sales, customer experience, and leadership.
A central part of the role is to challenge and further develop how we work with sales and customer interaction and to design learning solutions that make our employees more knowledgeable and better equipped in their interactions with customers.
You work both strategically and operationally, from creating cohesive learning journeys and designing new development initiatives to facilitating learning in the classroom. You are comfortable working with various formats, such as classroom training, digital learning, microlearning, and e-learning. The important thing is to understand the business and translate that into knowledge for others.
Your mission
- Work closely with the business to capture competence and development needs together with managers, HRBP, and the business
- Identify and analyze needs within sales, customer interaction, product knowledge, leadership, and culture, and drive them all the way to concrete training and development initiatives.
- Design and drive learning journeys and development initiatives that enhance performance and behaviors in everyday life
- Develop and further develop training, programs, and learning concepts in various formats – classroom, digital, and blended
- Create and adapt learning materials such as presentations, e-learning, microlearning, and video content
- Facilitate and conduct training and workshops, and feel comfortable standing in front of a group
- Contribute to building opportunities for local development through train-the-trainer initiatives and support for local facilitators
- Follow up on implementation and impact, focusing on business benefits, sales, and customer experience
- Driven by curiosity about how systems, tools, and methods, and AI can be used to create smarter, simpler, and more precise learning.
- Contribute to a learning culture where development, curiosity, and positive questioning are encouraged
Who we believe you are
You are open-minded, curious, and brave – and thrive when the pace is high and the frameworks are not always set from the beginning. You see opportunities where others see ambiguity and enjoy being close to the business, listening to different perspectives, and quickly translating insights into solutions that actually work in everyday life.
You have an interest in human behavior, leadership, organizational psychology, and development, and understand how learning can be used as a tool for change. You may have your own experience leading others and are driven by innovative thinking about sales, customer interaction, and how to build strong and sustainable performance over time.
You are self-driven and action-oriented, with a clear ability to make things happen. At the same time, you are unpretentious, collaborative, and used to anchoring ideas, building relationships, and creating success together with others.
We see that you have
- Relevant education in pedagogy, organizational development, HR, behavioral science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in learning design, competence development, or training production, as well as experience in classroom training and facilitating groups.
- Experience with e-learning and digital learning solutions
- Experience from retail or other customer-facing businesses
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English
Why this role?
Here you get the opportunity to work closely with the business, everyday life, and the people. You will be part of an HR/PD team of nine people and collaborate closely with colleagues in People Development in our Nordic organization. We are located in beautiful offices in Stadshagen and apply a hybrid working method, with most of the working time spent on-site at the office.
